Benton – PHA peeling toner – What is PHA?

Poly Hydroxy Acids are a new generation of the well known AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acids). Most important, comparing to the AHAs, the PHAs do not increase the skin sensitivity to the sun. More than that, the PHAs are well known because of their moisturizing properties – the PHAs attract water molecules and are rich in antioxidants.

The key ingredients of Benton’s PHA toner are:

• sodium hyaluronate – absorbing moisture and hydrates the skin

• sodium PCA – known as natural moisturizing factor with 50% improved moisturizing abilities comparing to the glycerine 

• centaurea cyanus and chrysanthemum morifolium flower extracts – filled with vitamins A, B1, and adenine – has anti-inflammatory properties, helps with reducing facial blushing and heals fungal acne

• third-generation PHA – lactobionic acid – gently melts dead skin

Benton is recommending to use it 2-3 x per week but I am using it almost every day. I like how good my skin feels right after use. Pores are minimized, the skin gets a fresh, bright, luminous and glowy look.

The toner is leaving the face moisturized, and calm. Further, it does not cause any irritations and I haven’t noticed any unpleasant tightening effect. Also, the blackheads and clogged pores are gone!
